Anovulatory cycle question?

So idk if this a dumb question but I'm super confused. So I'm pretty sure I experienced an anovulatory cycle in July. I went to the doctors after missing my period and getting bfn's. All my test were normal and so the doctor wanted to wait to see if my body would start my next period on it's own before giving me provera. Is it possible that I ovulated after that cycle without getting a period beforehand? I really hope that question makes sense lol bc all my symptoms are pointing to possibly actually being pregnant now.
