I waited until second tri when all of baby's organs have already developed. I also used a completely natural, plant-based hair dye. My OB did say that it's safe, but to be in a well ventilated area.

And because they are both approved, I've done both of those things throughout every pregnancy I've had, which was 3 lol.

Hair dye in a well ventilated area after you're out of your first trimester is thought to be safe with highlights being the safest.
Acrylic nails are not thought to be safe nor are gels. I think mostly because of the chance of getting your skin cut is higher

Oh just read the full post before voting, it is safe to sue your hair ONCE OUT OF THE FIRST TRIMESTER. Then, if you're doing it yourself just make sure you're in a well ventilated area. If you're getting it done professionally, you can mention it to the stylist in case they might want to use different products or something.
