Does two mature follicles mean I release two eggs?

Question

I had a scan yesterday and had a 18mm and 19mm. She said they are mature but wanted them to grow a little more. I started surging on my own so I had to take the ovidrel and Do IUI today. She called with my blood work just to verify I was surging and said the EGG already released. Maybe I didn't hear her right and she said eggs, idk. I'm hoping it was two since there was two mature follicles

If you used a trigger shot the odds increase that you released both.  Good luck!

It's hit or miss really. You may or may not have released eggs from both follicles. I've had both scenarios. I am pregnant from my 4th IUI and never triggered on any of them, just surged naturally. I didn't make it to my follicle scan on the first IUI as I surged on cd10 and we had IUI on cd11 so not sure on amount of follicles. On my 2nd I had 2 mature follicles and only one released, the other absorbed (suspect there was no egg in the other). On my 3rd IUI I had 2 follicles and both released (confirmed my ultrasound). I did get pregnant that IUI but miscarried. And on our 4th IUI I had 3 follicles and all released (confirmed by ultrasound).
