I had some similar discharge when my period would have been due ( I was almost 8 weeks) but it was only when I had a BM and it happened on two consecutive days. I had a doctors appointment already scheduled for the next day. Doc said that the brown discharge was normal and ultrasound confirmed baby was doing just what it should be. If you are cramping and having discharge I would definitely go in but if it is stressing you out I would get an appointment with your doc.

I'm 7w6d and I've been spotting like this for almost two weeks now. I called my doctor initially who told me not to worry -- as long as the color is pink or brown and the flow is light. A few days later I became concerned because it turned to red so I went to the ER. Everything was fine, they put me on pelvic rest and said to take it easy for a week. My OBGYN saw me the day after and I had an ultrasound and was told everything was fine again. I'm still spotting a little but trying not to freak out. Doctor said as long as it's not "gushing" and it's only when you wipe it's okay. But if you're still worried or the flow changes to heavier I would want to get checked out. I have had  the same and I am 7w2d.  Your hormones are all over the place, which can cause spotting. My doctor also said that the placenta is forming rapidly now (not fully until 9 weeks) and it's very vascular. Did you recently have intercourse or a vaginal US? Sometimes disruption like this can cause spotting.  Brown is fine (brown=old). If you are having bleeding like a period and need to wear a pad, that's concerning. Good luck!

It can be normal, it can be a sign of something more worrying but you shouldn't jump to that. If it makes you feel better go into the doc but there is a good chance it's normal for you. Good luck.

They say bleeding with no cramps and vice versa is normally nothing to worry about. However please call your doc or go to the ER it's better to be safe than sorry!!

My first pregnancy I had bleeding when I wiped but no cramps, and sadly lost the baby at 6 weeks.

This pregnancy I had extremely bad cramping, but all was fine and I'm now 28 weeks! So every situation is different. Go get checked!
