I'm due to get my copper iud soon and I'm very nervous. I've heard a ton about the horrible periods you get after (terrible bleeding and cramps) and I'm just wondering if it'd be safer to get the mirena iud? (I'd really rather not have a period at all but I'm so scared for the side effects being as I already have terrible anxiety and bipolar disorder)
