I don't really have much a of a birth story, it went by so fast!

My baby boy Luke wasn't due until today (August 21st 2017) but he came 2 weeks early on August 8th 2017.

That morning at approximately 6:45 am I was watching my husband get dressed for work, like usual, when I felt a sharp cramp almost like a menstrual cycle cramp. It subsided and maybe a minute later I felt a small gush of fluid. I honestly thought it was pee😂 I said to my husband "honey come look at this idk what just came out of me" and he knew that my water had broke. We made it to the hospital in time, but what they don't tell you is that your water "breaks" continuously not just one and done. I didn't have contractions for the first hour and a half then they got really intense so I went ahead and got my epidural. The nurses only check me vaginally 3 times before I went into active labor. I went from 3cm for about 3 hours to 7cm in an hour!!!!😱 my mom barely made it from South Carolina (got a speeding ticket) and got there an hour before his birth! My husband and mom stayed with me the entire time of course and I was only in active labor for a total of an hour. It was great! I did maybe 8 sets of pushing and my baby came out. Hardly cried at all and just was content to finally have skin to skin with his mama💙 I had a great labor and delivery I was truly blessed. Here we are 2 weeks later and I fit into all my old clothes and everything is going great! So blessed to have my family complete finally!
