Baby not circumcised when father is?

Question

My husband and I are still debating whether to circumcise our son or not. No one in my family is (young or old) and everyone in his family is. It's not a religious thing on either side in our case, but a cultural difference.
My main hesitation for pushing to not circumcise is that as our son gets older, and turns to my husband for advice or with questions (puberty, sex, etc) my husband might not be able to help as much because he is circumcised and our son is not. 
Is that a legitimate concern? Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you ultimately decide what was best for your LO? Did you just let the father make the choice? 
(PS I know and understand medically speaking from both doctors and also parents who have raised boys on both sides the actual pros and cons of choosing both circumcision or leaving the foreskin intact, so please don't ignite a debate about that. I'm hoping to get some real life insight into how parents that were on the fence made the choice.)

I told my husband to decide since while I do know and did research and have a say, I am not male so I can't say on experience. My husband is NOT circumcised however we decided together that we WILL circumcise. His reasoning after thinking about it is backed largely from a family experience. His brother originally wasn't circumcised either, but as a teenager even though he cleaned properly etc it got infected closed up and he had to have an emergency circumcision as a teenager, had it happened any later that day when he had it done it could have really hurt him or killed him.
Therefore, my husband does not want to take the risk with our son after seeing his little brother like that.
That doesn't happen often nor to many but when it happens to someone close to you you get paranoid and worry for your own child so I support this decision fully.
In the end it's up to you and your husband and your opinions and experiences. There is no wrong decision so long as it's your joint decision 👍🏻

My husband is circumsized and we did not circumsize our first son, nor will we our second. It's okay to break tradition, it's okay to look different than dad. Do your research and it will guide you.

My husband is and our son is not. I was worried about them looking different, but the reality is that they look different already because of their size. As for cleaning and care, we educate ourselves, and his pediatrician will also provide education as he gets older.

We are not circumcising and my husband is circumcised. We made this decision together. My husband thinks that he has less feeling during sex because he is circumcised. We will both teach our son how to clean himself.

I will circumcise my boy and it is more of a medical than religious reason . I don't think in my part of the world they would not do it  automatically.  Since everyone around me is circumcised I cannot compare 😊 if they had any issues but medical reason makes sense for ease of cleaning and some fungal growth potential in older age plus all other . One thing I heard from a doctor that the sensitivity might be less since the head is not protected which in fact plus for a woman ( longer intercourse ) .

Yes I think the husband or man in is life should have a bigger say. I gave my husband the option and we both looked up the facts and myths about it. Ultimately he decided not to and I am so happy he took the time needed to do the reach and make an educated decision even tho it was different from what he thought it had to be. 
Either way it's both your decision and it should talked about equally.

My partner is not circumcised although he could have been due to having a tight foreskin but his parents decided against it for which he is grateful. We won't be circumcising our son either unless it's medically necessary. If it comes to it I'll let my partner decide as I feel he can make a more informed decision than I can.
