Bright red period blood?

This is normal, right? Lol my period just started today and this is the very first time in ages that I've had bright red period blood; usually it is dark *RED, not brown. Plus I'm not cramping this time?? And I'm back to a 28-day cycle?? What's happening?!!!
P.S. I'm not on birth control

What was it? Is it normal? I am having bright red blood with no clots and I’m very scared, if it is my period it is a week early and I don’t want to be pregnant!

you're  fine, the darker the blood just means that its older, the bright red means it's fresh
