Dropping out of being the maid of honor?

I know this is not about pregnancy issues. But I gotta ask whoever been through this. I'm the maid of honor for my cousin wedding. But lately I've been thinking of telling her I want out and to be her braidmaid instead would that be too mean to tell her?

Because I showed her a great photographer to do her wedding photos and then she ends up spending two grand to fly her other friends to where we live (Hawaii) to take her wedding pictures instead.

Then for her bridal shower I suggested a place where if the renting price is reasonable I'll pay for it and everyone just pay for their own dinner. Place includes drinks, desserts, and food. So much easier and just games, center pieces, and decorations needed to be done. Less of a headache too.

Idk I feel like honestly dropping out because I don't feel capable of dealing with being the maid of honor when I thought I could be.
