Is it just me?

So I have some really strange neighbors. My husband even agrees with me that they're weird but he doesn't find it as alarming as I do...

They moved in around the beginning of the summer, and we introduced ourselves to each other. They seemed friendly enough to have a good neighborly relationship with them.

Shortly after they moved in the lady started acting almost scared of us.

My husband was outside getting the lawnmower out and said hello to her, she stood up, grabbed her kid and ran inside.

I thought for sure we did something to offend her or something.

During the solar eclipse I asked her if she would like to borrow our glasses to look at it, she said no and IMMEDIATELY ran inside and shut the door.

I've been wracking my brain over what we could have done to offend or upset her, but we have been nothing but friendly.

Her husband on the other hand is neighborly (I wouldn't say friendly, just neighborly) he will wave or nod his head if he's outside when we're pulling in or out of our driveway.

Here's the alarming part for me, she never seems to leave the house. She's always at home kinda "hiding out" if you will. Every single window in their house has a blackout curtain, and they never open them.

They also never have company over, and never spend time outside.

Am I just thinking too deep into it or is this actually weird?
