spliting 4 month shots?

at liams 2 month shots he cried for 24 hours straight. with little sleep in between wailing. 
well,  he's due for his 4 month shots today. an hr from  now actually. 
has anyone ever split the shots?  like,  do half today and the other half in a week /2 weeks /etc. ???
I'm allergic to part of the tDap vaccine.  and could only have it once as a baby.  im not sure, but, maybe hes having a reaction to it as well? 
what would you do? 
can dr MAKE you get ALL babies shots at onced??

Rotavirus is a live virus which means the virus actually can make the baby sick after the shot. It frequently is the reason for 2 month reactions. It'd be good for you to know all the brands of his shots and to check specifically why he had a reaction especially because you've had a reaction before. I know it can be hard to track the details. :/ The Vaccine Book by Dr Sears is an easier read with good details on ingredients for each brand. You could ask your doctor for a vaccine insert for each shot then just write the date down on each so you know what dates he received them. Dr. Sears is controversial in the medical community because he supports alternative schedules (versus doing the CDC schedule) but he has good suggestions about minimizing mercury containing shots. Mercury is called themirisol (sp?) in vaccines. It's a poisonous metal but is used as a preservative and according to the CDC is safe in small amounts. Some ppl have reactions to that as well. DTAP is also given at 2 months (and 4 mo)  so he could have whatever caused your reaction to Tdap, as well. Last thing- though he only got a couple pricks there are a lot of combo vaccines which makes it hard to pinpoint the issue.

We've spread all of our son's shots out, as well opting to skip certain ones based on requirements for school and allergies that run in our family. He's never had a reaction and our pediatrician has been awesome about it.

We always split. Half two weeks later. It so much for their systems and if they have a reaction good luck figuring out what one if they are all together.

My baby girl cried so much at her two month vaccinations (I timed it... 7 solid minutes of wailing, she hardly ever even cries a little!). I was definitely nervous when I brought her to get her 4 month ones the other day. This time she only cried a little while getting the shots/oral. Afterwards, she just whimpered a bit, then got to work sucking her thumb and feel asleep on me and I just buckled her into her carrier. I didn't even have to nurse her until we got home (about an hour after receiving shots)! Moral of the story: babies learn and grow so fast. Sometimes we just have to trust that they'll have picked up the skills to deal with things that used to be problematic for them. 😍

I split my son's 2 months because they were out of one. So we are now splitting all if them. It went well.

Im in ontario canada and the nurse at the doctors office asked/really tried to get me to do his shots a week apart but I declined and had both needles that day. My thought process was Id rather him only go through discomfort once in the month rather than twice. But maybe for your little guy it would be better separate to see if he also has a reaction to just the one vaccine?
