Quad screen results?

Did anyone do the quad screen? How long did it take to get results back? I'm so nervous because of the high rate of false positives 🤞

I took it 2 weeks ago... doctor called me back with 1/65 positive results. The past week has caused me an incredible amount of stress. Yesterday, I had blood drawn for the informaseq test that my insurance covers since my quad screen came back positive 😩... I'm nervous AF! I plan on this being my last pregnancy but if it isn't I will not ever get the test again. I'm sure the level of anxiety it has caused me is NOT healthy..... regardless of the results. I'm hoping for normal informaseq results 🤞🏽

I did the quad screen and my doctor called me about 4 days later saying she wasn't pleased with my results (they were right on the edge of normal, but too close to the abnormal range) so she wanted me to do the Harmony test after talking to a genetic counselor. People often talk about the false positives from the quad screen, but I found it helpful to see the actual measurements that were taken. They look for markers for certain disorders, rather than looking at the actual chromosomes like they do with the Harmony test. The quad screen is useful to know if you may be at risk for any issues with your placenta. Placental issues could mean disorders, such as Down syndrome, but it could also mean you're at a higher risk for preeclampsia, etc. In my opinion it's good to know these sorts of risks ahead of time so you can be closely monitored throughout your pregnancy.
