Trying to understand their definition of lazy

Elizabeth

I'm struggling to figure out how to explain to my husband and in-laws that I'm not intentionally being lazy. So far this week, I've done all the laundry from my trip last week, set up my classroom, run around helping my in-laws out with getting their new car home and into/ out of the different maintenance shops, helped pick and can fruit & veggies from our garden, defrosted our jam-packed upright freezer, and gone into Chicago (we are about an hour away with no traffic) twice to help my husband with stuff for his job. All on top of the normal daily stuff. But I keep hearing that there is so much stuff to get done.

Regardless of the fact that I was up sick for two hours in the middle of the night, I've already been asked to clean up the back yard and sweep/mop all of the upstairs, stairs, and front hall today. I've also been recruited to help my husband and his friend with redoing our roof today and tomorrow (I'm ground crew - they don't want to worry about me on the ladder or the second story roof.) Tomorrow, I need to pack for a weekend trip (one of my husband's jobs is sending him to a location near where my family lives, so I'm going with him and we are visiting my family while we're in the area.) Next week is looking similar, because once the roof is done, they will be redoing the siding on the house.
