Underweight Babies?

We had our four month check up today and my son is considered underweight for his height. He is 13.4 lbs and 26 inches. I ebf and I am hoping to keep doing so. We have a weight check in 3 weeks. I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and has any suggestions

At 4 mo My little one weighed 11lb 15oz and 25.25 inches she's like 11% in weight and 84% in height. They just delayed when we can start feeding her food and said only formula til 5 months and just to try and increase how much she eats. Other than that they aren't very concerned and she's started taking 7oz bottles so she should gain quite a bit when she goes in for her 6 mo appt in September

My LO is 12lbs 4 oz (12th percentile) and 23.8 inches. She is hitting milestones and has plenty of wet diapers. She is just going to be my little sprout!

My 4 month old daughter weights 5.5 kilos (12 pounds, 2 oz) and is 61 cm (24 inches) long. The pediatrician is not concerned because she is gaining weight consistently and she has reached all the developmental milestones for her age. I used to be obsessed with her weight but if the doctor is not worried why should I be? :)

My little was 13.7 lbs and 24 inches at her 4 month check-up at the beginning of this month. Doctors aren't concerned about her wait gain. I mean she's in the 30th percentile for both, but as far as I know she's gaining properly. She's EBF as well.

My LO is 5 months and is 14lbs 13oz and has been 25in since her 2 month check up! She is EBF but I also give her baby food since she has acid reflux and her doctor doesn't want to use meds. She started eating food at 4 months. She loves carrots, bananas, sweet potatoes, apples, and prunes.

My fatty was 25.59 inches long and weight 16lbs at his 4th month check up. Thank God for formula. Sometimes breast milk isn't enough. I pumped a million times to get an oz! He loves carrots! Started giving him taste of things at 3 1/2 months.

my oldest weighed that at 6 months. all babies are different a grow differently. my son is now 3 and he is fine.        try to see if they will get the ebf growth chart. babies who are formula fed tend to grow faster and throw off the chart.   there is a chart based on only breasted babies.

Just because baby is under the 50% does not mean that baby is underweight. My LO is in the 98% for height and the 30% for weight. Dr said as long as she continues to grow, there is no issue.

I've had 3 EBF babies. First was 12 pounds at 4 months, middle child was a massive 21 pounds at 4 months and 3rd was 13 pounds at 4 months. All have been 60-70% for height. They all had plenty of wet and dirty diapers, were ahead on milestones and were happy babies! Unless your baby isn't having wet diapers like he should, is losing or not gaining at all or isn't meeting milestones, I wouldn't be worried. He's really not that small and someone has to make up those lower percentiles!
