My friend came and stayed the night. And we’re humans we eat to live am I right? So I get him something to eat and my mom is getting all mad and yelling at me and my little brother for giving him food like he’s a human being is it bad to share food? Lmk what y’all think

Yea that's really messed up. There's a little girl who comes to play with my son (she's 6) who asks for food every time she comes over she asked for food and I give her food. Even though we have limited income

I could see if they came over all the time wanting to eat, my MIL has a boy that comes over and eats half her kitchen weekly and she gets pretty tired of it. It's ok to a point but it's not her responsibility to be using her extremely fixed income to feed someone else's kid.

My best friends mother was like that. If I was ever at her house during their dinner time I would have to wait for them to finish in her room😞

it's not greedy to offer food to guests in your home. it's not like your giving away all the food you have to him just making sure he eats. when my best friend lived with us for a short time, i think about 3 weeks,she was allowed to use what she needed and eat whatever she wanted unless it was marked with a name. she mostly bought her own food though while she lived with us but my mom always made sure she was welcome to use anything she needed while there and that she was welcome to eat while she was there.
