What happens if you fail your 3 hour glucose test?

Im a first time mom & wonder what happens if you fail your 3 hour glucose test & do get diagnosed with gestational diabetes?

It's called gestational diabetes. It's diabetes that women sometimes get only while pregnant. You'll have to eat differently (diet like everyone is saying) and check your sugars. My sister had it with last pregnancy but not first. It's just hard if you crave stuff and get nauseous easy. Otherwise it's not really a big deal. They just want to know so you can be processing goods better for you and your baby.

Happened to me. You will have to go on a low carb/sugar diet till the baby is born and you will have to check your sugar levels daily. If you can't keep your levels down with diet and light exercise then they will also give you medication.

Yeah they'll have you go on a diabetes diet (idk the exact specifications) and you'll have to check your glucose levels throughout the day, if your levels can't be managed by just a diet you'll get medicine too
