ttc with a irregular period

me and my fiance have been trying for 6 months and I went to get a check up they say I'm okay I just need to keep taking prenatals . my question is for those in the same predicament how long did it take you to conceive? also what are some complication you are having while trying to conceive ?

Update I haven’t had a period since November today slightly bleeding . I’ve been to the doctors scheduling ultrasound and blood work to see what is the verdict as traditional pregnancy tests haven’t been working.
