If y'all haven't had sex yet, I definitely wouldn't do anal. He probably just wants to do it with someone to say he's done it, you know how guys are. If you aren't completely comfortable with him I don't recommend it. And if y'all are just now developing I wouldn't do it either. Me and mine didn't try it until after a year of us being together because that's when I was completely comfortable with him, and I knew if something went wrong he wouldn't be grossed out and leave like a 19 year old usually would do. If you do it, it of course is gonna have some pain to it, but it doesn't hurt as bad as you think as long as you do it right! 
Make sure you have plenty of lube and your body is relaxed when doing it (being tense makes it harder to enter) lol.

Anal can hurt if it's not done properly, you need to use a ton of lube, use toys/fingers to get used to having something there & you need to be able to relax. It's usually best when having vaginally sex/lots of foreplay as that will help you relax. I personally think it isn't something to rush into with someone you don't have a strong connection / a lot of trust with. Do you want to try anal with this guy though?
