Back to school clothes?

Question

So I haven't gone school shopping for my kiddos yet, well for clothes. I honestly think they have enough decent clothes to last them a little longer, but I do want to at least buy them each one new outfit for school. I know what it's like to wanna show up on the 1st day looking fresh and brand new lol. 
Should I buy them the outfit or just let them wear what they have? I'm on a very small and tight budget and trying to save🙄

If its clean and smart with no stains and acceptable condition then i do not replace the item. If shoes fit and unscuffed i do not replace until they are needing to be. No harm in makig good use of items. Im lucky my girl dont really grow alot and looks after her stuff well. Never a mark on her clothes. Always stay fresh colour too. Just pay attention to washing them this is what i do to make sure they stay fresh.

If you're trying to save, then I wouldn't be too worried about it. No one at their school is going to know it's not a new outfit.

I do this, I do a lot of second hand shopping. My 13yo daughter loves it and actually has a lot of name brand stuff in her closet. I too ussualy by them one or two new outfits. I do however give the a dollar limit & take them some where like Burlington or Kmart for the new stuff. I also watch the ads even after I buy bc, places like Kmart will refund the difference if anything you bought goes on sale the next week. I also get a lot of surprise points and earned point at Kmart which often save me a ton. We got all 4 of ours, shoes, & clothes at Kmart it was about 25 items including some socks & underware for about $90 this year.

Maybe I'm the only one but I never got any new back to school clothes when I was young. we got clothes when ours were worn out or didn't fit. school wasn't an occasion to get new clothes. If they dont need them dont buy them. My SO and I are constantly on a tight budget so my step daughter only gets clothes when she needs them.

I'm always a fan of giving clothes a good wash and iron (starch helps too!). Makes them look and feel new again.
