FANTASY READERS!! Would you read a dragons vs humans story from the dragons' pov in modern times?

Question

See, I've been randomly bitch slapped by the muse, and now I've got this idea bouncing around my brain, but I'm not sure it's even interesting enough to try writing. 
Basically dragons live underground, close to the core and they tell stories of knights as Boogeyman tales for their young. They somehow emerge to the surface and... Well, I'm still working on some plot points.
But I'm wondering if dragons are done to death by now, or if it's different enough to be worth trying. Any advice or input would be wonderful, thanks!!

"Bitch slapped by the muse" 😂 Such a perfect way to describe it! I think that sounds awesome! I love dragons, but I do more sci fi, so I have to get creative on how to  incorporate them.

It looks good to me.  I am obsessed with dragons (thanks, Jessica Day George, I didn't need that sanity) and super picky about the stories written about them, but give me boogeyman knights and I'm sold.  I always have a hard time making dragons antagonists in my stories. (/ . \)  Also, 'bitch slapped by the muse' is the best thing I've heard all year.

Have you read the short story "The wife's story" by Ursula K le Guin? Do yourself a favour and get it (for karma's sake, get it legally). It's relevant, but try to read it "cold", without having read *about* it. Excellent, methinks, and may help you (though no dragons, but...)
