Do you keep gifts from your ex

Question

Things like teddy bears or jewelry or perfume that you absolutely love. Do you keep them and keep using them or do you give them back/throw them away? I have so much Tiffany & Co from my ex and I love it and wear it everyday but I don't know if it's appropriate to keep wearing it especially if I meet someone new. (It doesn't have any engravings)

It's jewelry it was a gift. Just because your no longer together doesn't mean you still can't enjoy it. To be honest when you do get into a new relationship it's really none of your partners business, and if they were to get mad I would defenitly take that as a red flag. I'm sure there will be bigger fish to fry beside a piece of jewelry. It's belongs to you enjoy it. You don't have to feel bad about anything.

I have a few things. My previous engagement ring (he didn't want it back) so when my husband and I had our rings made, we also had my old ring melted down and made into a cross necklace for me. So I wear that a lot. 
But we are ok with some things that a lot of couples might not be. I also wear the ring my husband had proposed to someone else with and it didn't work out. It was made by a family member and it was something we talked about (a few times because I thought it was weird at first).
I look at it as each relationship we have teaches us something, about ourselves about what we want and don't want and makes an impression on us. If I had never dated my ex, I wouldn't be the person I am today and my husband might not have fallen in love with me. As long as you arent holding on to something to try to get back together with ex, I think it's totally fine.

I've kept my stuff that ex's gave me and I've never asked for anything back, i think if you give it at the time you shouldn't expect it back if things change.

I still have a few gifts that he gave me that were really meaningful. He did give me a beautiful diamond promise ring but I don't feel like it's appropriate for me to wear it, so it sits in my jewelry box. I can't bring myself to sell it. I also spent a few hundred dollars on a watch for him and I see in his current photos he still wears it every day like he used to. I think it just depends on what you feel comfortable keeping or wearing

How would you feel if your SO wore a watch everyday from his ex? Personally I'd be pissed. 
I say sell it or throw it away or whatever and go buy a new one you like. 
I'm just the type if you're no longer in my life (especially on bad terms) I want nothing to remind me of you.

I wouldn't keep a Teddy bear, but I would keep perfume and jewellery if I really liked it. I wouldn't care if my partner did the same, but I probably wouldn't be like "I got these from my ex so deal with it" if I got in a new relationship. I would tell the new bf if he asked where I got it from, but I mean, you rarely talk about where you've got things from and why would it even matter? The relationship is over and they don't mean anything to you anymore and the things are just things.

I was given a ring and a bracelet from my first 'adult' relationship at 18, I don't like to ware rings or bracelets they annoy me but I still have them and wear the ring when I go out for nice night or something, it is a nice ring, I don't buy rings or bracelets for myself. At the end of the day I'm now 25 with the love of my life creating our family, just because I have kept the ring and ware it now and then doesn't mean I am going to end up back with my ex or love my partner any less, my ex was still a big part of my life and I have never felt being ashamed or negative about that is a healthy way to move forward it life. If I felt I needed to ware them every day or my partner felt uncomfortable then I would reconsider keeping them but they are significant memorabilia from my life.

I have a few things from an ex that I kept and still wear. One of which is a pair of diamond earrings which is why I've kept them. The others is a pair of their pants that I just really love 😂
