So, my manager is my best friends mom. She isn't too happy that I'm pregnant and when she found out started treating me VERY differently. Being rude making rude comments and just being nasty. Well that stopped and she started being nicer to me again and not so bitter all the time. Well today I found out from another manager of the company that she said something about my baby shower. I invited the ladies I work with even one that I don't speak to a lot but I really like her she's super nice. I invited my manager 1. I was inviting the other ladies I work with 2. She's my best friends mom... I've known her forever and thought it'd be nice. Well it came up in convo with the other manager (who was invited) and my manager said "I don't know why she's having a shower anyway" the other manager asked why and my manager goes "she's basically hosting it, it's like she's asking for stuff"..... I am not "basically hosting it" my sister offered to throw me a shower (she was the only one that offered) I told her that I would obviously help her so she wasn't doing it alone. (Neither of us knew what kind of help we were going to get from our mom or my bf mom ; they are VERY involved so I didn't really need to help much) I'm just annoyed because that's not at all what I'm doing. Why shouldn't I be allowed to celebrate my son being born? And yes like every other person who has a shower I have a registry.. I'm not getting what her issue is with me helping my sister plan small stuff and buying a few things for the shower. I really just needed to vent because it really bothered me and made me think I shouldn't be having one...
