I was a non-Muslim when I met my Muslim husband, but I would never have wanted children before marriage. Even without the religious understanding, I just personally felt children belong inside of marriage. That's the foundation on which family life is built. My parents were married when they had me and my brother; they subsequently divorced when I was little, which is fine because they were not right for each other ultimately, but at least we had the grounding we needed which comes from knowing you were the product of a loving marriage at the time. Just my view.

I think pregnancy before marriage is never a good idea, regardless of the faiths involved. Of course, in Islam any relationship between a man and woman before marriage is sinful. If the woman is not pregnant, she should definitely avoid pregnancy and if she is serious about the relationship she should proceed with marriage. If the woman is pregnant, then what is done is done. In Islam, it's wrong to abort a baby except in exceptional circumstances. Still, the best solution would be to proceed with marriage. Like the sister before said, the baby deserves to be born and raised by both loving parents.
