I thought I was excited to be getting registration papers to report to the hospital on Saturday for induction yesterday. Well, I was even more excited when I began to have contractions, strong contractions, but still wasn't sure this was it! My husband and I packed the car and headed to the hospital. Got to the end of the road and said, "No, I'll be ok. Maybe I just need to drink some water." Turned around and went back to the house. About an hour passed, I started leaking involuntarily. I thought it was my water breaking, (it wasn't). So, we headed to the hospital.

I went to the birthing center, and the initial nurse I had was kind of nasty. She didn't think I was really having contractions. My husband had to put his foot down and tell her to call our Dr. Well, she called the doctor and then she came in with some pain meds, the next time she checked I had dilated 2.5 centimeters. All I needed was to relax with the contractions. She moved me into the labor/ delivery/ birth room around 5:00 am. I was 5 cm, the next time they checked. I got my epidural around 7:00. Doctor came in and broke my water around 9:00. Our little Dru man was here at 9:53 am. We are absolutely in love! 

I hope I didn't leave anything out! My husband said, I was crazy before I got any pain medicine! 😜
