IUD & PERIODS

Okay so I had Minera inserted 07/12 and a week later 09/19 I started bleeding for a month straight it stopped around the 3rd week of August . 2 weeks ago I had sex and I felt like he did something to it (I was just paranoid) but it was just hurting when he went in and since I was having slight cramps Well fast forward this week I started bleeding heavy and I believe I'm on my period now but did anyone experience heavy bleeding during their first period after the insertion?
