Would you have fired/dismissed him?

Found on Unilad Facebook, a video (I hope the screenshots explain it enough) of a police officer "assaulting" a female nurse and arresting her. Hospital policy stated that police cannot get bloods drawn from a patient without a warrant and in this case the patient was unconscious too which is not allowed. He grew very angry very quickly despite the nurse being on the phone (to, I assume her boss) which stated the rules and that 10 other members of staff backed her up. 
She was released without charge and the officer was allowed to return to work. This video sickens me, it was unprovoked and he attacked an innocent nurse who was following hospital policy. 
Personally I would have fired his ass straight away.

I think he should be fired, or at least face some serious discipline. She was doing her job and advocating for her patient. It's not that hard to get a warrant IF you are entitled to whatever you are seeking. Furthermore, I'm not up to date on the local laws, but from what I've seen the nurse was legally correct and the police officer should have been aware of that.

The 6% that say the nurse overreacted- I would LOVE to know how..... 
I work closely with police everyday as a nurse and I am APPALLED at how she was treated. She kept her cool way more than many of us could have. But this man does not represent all police, thankfully. 
I can't believe he's on paid leave while they investigate, although I'm sure that's some kind of policy with the force...I can't wait to see the end outcome of this.

The detective most certainly deserves to be fired immediately. All they did was remove him from that particular department impending investigation. I think that is pure bullshit. The nurse was doing her job, following protocol - something the detective obviously knows nothing about. He clearly had a temper tantrum when he realized he would leave empty handed & assaulted the nurse. He had no reason to slap her phone or forcibly push her against the outside wall & definitely not into his cruiser. This story upset me so badly! Working in those types of environments are crazy! The nurses supervisor is on the phone & should've been THERE. The hospital administration should have been THERE. && where the hell was security. Everybody would have a lawsuit coming there way, this case was ridiculous on ALL levels! I feel so bad for that nurse, who basically was ensuring the rights of the patient was upheld.

Yikes.. this is disturbing. I would have dismissed him, or at the very least reprimanded him. That behavior was uncalled for, and unacceptable towards someone just doing their job and not intentionally disrupting his job. 
I have nothing against cops/police, but I find it so interesting that the support runs so deep that supporters will not say a peep about his wrongdoings when it's VERY obvious he stepped out of line and abused his power. Abuse of power with this line of work should not be taken lightly. Ever.
In my line of work, if someone fucks up and makes us ALL look bad - because we are ONE, we have no lone wolves - we call them out on it until the issue is fixed or that person is out. We take responsibility for the actions, even if those actions were not ours. 
When it happens to cops, everyone just turns a cheek.. then when it gets turned on them it's all #BlueLivesMatter 😳🤔 just a thought..

I would have suspended him while looking into the whole thing as a whole then reprimanded him on his actions. That's IF this was a first offense.

To start, I 100% side with the nurse. 
From what I understand, and I could be wrong, but the victim that they wanted to get blood from was also a cop. I believe the cop who arrested the nurse was trying to cover the ass of one of his own. Yes, the unconscious man was a victim, but if an off duty cop is involved in an accident, I believe they need to get blood tests. If they get it without a warrant and it came up he was under the influence, they have to throw it out since it was wrongfully obtained. He was probably hoping the nurse wouldn't put up a fight.
Again, I could be wrong about this, this is just what I have recently been hearing.
