Affording IVF?

Husband and I have been dealing with infertility due to him having cancer when we were 19 (he's healthy now!).

We banked sperm back then. However, now that we've been married we're really wanting to have a baby... we actually saw a fertility doctor last year and I went through all the scans and testing done to make sure I was good to go. Everything came back clear. The doctor then told us with our banked sperm that our only option really is to do IVF ICSI. Honestly, I was devastated. He said that treatment usually starts around $15,000.

My question is... how can one afford it? I know there are medical loans available. Our insurance doesn't have fertility coverage. It's so disheartening 😞
