Terrified of being pregnant?

Question

My boyfriend and I have discussed that (when we're ready) we want to have children. I'm 24 years old and the idea of being pregnant/giving birth terrifies me. I know my mother had a very smooth pregnancy but the amount of things that can go wrong freaks me out. Do you find daughters tend to have similar pregnancies to their mothers? Am I freaking out for no reason?

I was hoping my pregnancy would be like my mothers. It was in the sense we were both almost two weeks late and had to be induced, but the difference was inducing worked for her and she had me 4 hours later, for me my daughter was turned in my pelvis and I needed an emergency c section. 
I was TERRIFIED of labor and of having a c section, but I'm 3 days post op and I feel okay and have a beautiful healthy little girl

Other than me having twins and my mom and sister only ever having singletons, all of our pregnancies have been quite similar. Could be coincidence, could be genetic... Who knows.

I don't think it matters.. my mom had issues with her pregnancy, while mine was smooth sailing for the most part. She also had severe nausea and morning sickness all 9 months, while mine lasted just the first trimester. No two pregnancies are the same even for just one person, so I don't believe that theres a link between mom and daughter pregnancies.

From what I've seen in my family, yes. My mother had relatively easy pregnancies, and my sister had an easy one and her birth was pretty textbook. I'm pregnant now, and at 32 weeks, things are going great. Hoping the birth goes smoothly as well. You are still pretty young and you will know when you are ready. I'm horribly terrified of pain and such, but I have just grown to accept that my body is made for this, and there's no other way to do it if I want my own baby, so I'm just going to have to get over it.

My mom told me both of her pregnancies with my brother and I were pretty easy with no complications. I've had a very smooth easy pregnancy with no complications either.

Pregnancy and birth can be scary, but more than likely everything will be just fine! This is my second pregnancy, they're all so different. I always thought you'd have similar pregnancies and birth as your mother. My first was an easy pregnancy but a long, long labour. My mom had my brother and I early and pretty fast labours. I was 4 days late. Stay positive and trust in your body, it doesn't feel like it but 9 months will fly by, you'll hardly remember the pain of your birth and your kid will be a year before you know it. Have fun starting an amazing chapter in your life!

My daughter and I were pregnant at the same time. Our pregnancies were eerily similar. She had her daughter at 37 weeks and I had my son at 36. We both had similar issues throughout. My Neice also had a baby a few months ago and had pre eclampsia. I had it with my first. My daughter just had it. And I was being monitored for it the last two weeks.
