Am I a bad person?

Does it make me a bad person because I don't want my mom in my sons life? My mom has treated me like shit since I was a kid. Her and I have only had a "relationship" since I got pregnant. She has told me multiple times that I'm gonna be a bad mom and that I don't care about my son for multiple different reasons. We got into a fight earlier and she threw shoes right at my stomach. I'm 39 weeks pregnant.

Nope. She sounds toxic and if you feel like someone like that shouldn't be in your son's life, then she shouldn't.

I don't think it's a bad idea at all. I'm considering keeping my stepmom out of my baby's life after she said I should reconsider my options and that I was throwing my life away. It's not like I'm a young teenager. I'm 22 and a college graduate. I think you need as much support as you can get and the negativity is unneeded and tiring.

You have good reasons, you're not a bad person. You want what is best for you and your baby - clearly that doesn't include her.
