How long does your baby feed?

Hey, mommas! How long does your baby typically feed on each breast? Do you let themselves off or do you limit them? I'm just curious.

You will be able to tell when baby is done eating if they fall asleep and u haven't fed from the other side yet I would wake them up and try to latch and feed on the other side.

My daughter is 7 months and breastfeeds about 10-15 minutes all together (both breasts combined). I can tell when she's finished with one so I switch her to the other side.

great question as I am also wondering this. also, do you all switch to each breast during the feeding or do you do you do left on one feeding and right on next?

Answer

As long as she wants. She's 4 months now & she typically eats 15 min or less on each side. When she was younger she would eat 45 min to an hour each side. I feed on demand & never cut her off unless something unavoidable happens like pot boiling over, doctor ready for exam, etc
