Heater?

Ok so we have a finished basement bedroom and even with the vent closed its cold... we have the ac set to 73 but it's still 68 in our room according to our clock that read temp also... our 2 month old sleeps in our room... is it ok to use a safe space heater while we sleep? TIA!

Maybe just extra layers for baby? I read somewhere that 68° is actually a really good temp for baby sleeping. Too warm and sids risk increases.

I would get a carbon monoxide detector for your room just in case. But it should be fine.

Not sure if this would work for you but we run the fan in our ac 2 hours before bed and it pulls the warm air from upstairs into our downstairs bedrooms. We can always get the temp up to 70 degrees doing this.

Our home is always set to 68 degrees and our daughter never sleeps in more than a short sleeved onesie and a Velcro swaddle (which we only Velcro up to her armpits because she likes having her arms free lol).

68 is great! I was worried about cold too, we used fleece PJs and fleece sleep sack,
I just think of what I'm wearing to bed plus a blanket. I've used an oil based heater while I've slept in the past, but if its only 68 that I'd actually a good temp for LO. Remember- hot air rises! So a basement is typically kept very cool 😉
