Is it more important to LOVE your doctor? Or TRUST the hospital?

If you could only pick one: Is it more important to LOVE and trust your doctor? Or TRUST and have faith in the hospital? Please share your experiences and explain your choice! (I ask because in my town, you can't really have both)

The Dr came in 10 min before I started pushing so the hospital and nurse is who I had to trust they actually did 98% of the work

Gotta trust the hospital. You never know which doc might be on call when you have an emergency or go into labor

Well if you love and trust your doctor then I'd stay with that bc the hospital isn't delivering your baby, your doctor is. I wouldn't leave my ob for anything bc I just love and trust her so much.

My OB will definitely be the one delivering my son, however, in most cases whichever OB is on call when you go into labor is the one who will be delivering you. Its important to love and trust your doctor during pregnancy, however, you also have to trust the hospital and it's staff bc unless told otherwise, you don't know if your OB will be delivering your baby. I think you should've added a "both" option to this poll!(:

in the UK our midwifes don't tend to deliver baby's so I'd say hospital because that's where you deliver and it's usually the hospital staff you have to put your trust in to deliver the baby safely , there was something on the news the other day about the lack of midwives seeing you through pregnancy to birth and them being there at the birth it just never happens ! they were on about investing in more midwives that will actually deliver your baby ! here even if you have a home birth you tend not to get the midwife that's seen you through pregnancy it's usually someone on call from the hospital , so here we need to trust the hospital x

You could be delivered by any of the attending Dr in the hospital and if you have any issues between now and delivery the hospital would be the ones you need to trust. I had complete faith in my Dr but it was the hospital protocol and the attending Dr that I didn't have faith in so I am switching to another.

Will your doctor definitely be doing your delivery?  With my doc's practice that's not guaranteed. So I picked the doc for getting me through the pregnancy and hospital for labor and delivery needs

I guess I don't totally understand. A hospital is a place that wouldn't exist without doctors, nurses, and support staff.
