Sperm life and gender

Okay, so I'm gonna ovulate sometime around Sunday-Tuesday (supposedly) and my husband was like "okay no more full go, we are now only 'training' until you ovulate." (This was his way of saying let's fool around but I'm not getting off) he thinks that he can have more=better by the time I ovulate.

I think I've heard it said that sperm quality goes down after 5 days of not getting off. In addition to that I have a theory: Does sperm quality go down after that because male sperm only lives like 24-48 hours (which results in male babies if you have sex closer to ovulation) and female sperm lives up to 5-7 days (which results in female babies if you did it days before ovulation) and this means by day 5 of not getting off the male sperm died days before and the female sperm drop off rapidly at that point, even though there has been no ejaculation??

If that's true then that means he'd be shooting dead sperm in me and is basically miss conceiving due to that. It would also mean any surviving sperm would be female. What do y'all think?
