Is this a lip tie?

The piece connecting the lip to the gums even seems to extend between the front teeth and under it. Is this a lip tie?

How many people get this removed? I still have one but it doesn't look as bad as some other people's.

I'd wait to see if it interferes with feeding before cutting it. I still have mine!

Yes but if it's not interfering with feeding it's not a big deal at this point. When your child is around the age of 6-7 and it is still prominent the dentist may look at doing a procedure for it to avoid a gap. We do it with lasers at our dental office and it's very non invasive .

My son had a tongue and lip tie we had to get them cut

Yepp my daughter had one and at 6 weeks old her dr refused to cut it saying she was too old they only do them at 4 weeks old and under so i took her 2 hours away to the childrens hospital ent and he saw it and booked her for surgery she had it cut this past friday both lip and tongue tie i havent even said a word to her dr and i wont until her next appointment on sept 27 when shell be over 9 months old

No that's NOT a lip tie, everyone has it. It's called a frenulum.
