Leaking milk after 2.5 months of no nursing/pumping

Jessica

I wanted so badly to breastfeed my son, but it seems it just was not meant to be for us. A bad initial latch plus supply issues requiring lactation supplements/hospital-grade pump/every 2-3 hour nurse/pump sessions made it so that my max volume 2 ounces total every 4-6 hours for my kiddo to eat. Add to that my raging kidney infection a week after we came home that led me to be on 3 rounds of antibiotics (forcing me to pump and dump), and we did not have ideal circumstances for breastfeeding.

We tried for 2.5 months before my supply started to dwindle, so after a slight hiccup with a plugged duct (but thankfully no mastitis), my lactation specialist helped me wean down and stop nursing and pumping all together. That was in the middle of June.

Now here we are in September, and out of the blue, I've started noticing a little bit of leakage in the shower. It's not much, but it's definitely noticeable.

Is this normal?
