Blood clots . HELP?! WARNING TMI

So this month my period came three days early. It was very very painful from the start. It was a heavy cycle with lots of blood clots. Very dark blood clots and very thick . Well my husband and I decided to have sex on what was predicted (by glow and another period tracker) to be my last day. I was still cramping but not terribly . Well when we were done , I wiped myself and there were big clear blood clots along with the big dark ones . And they were even on him. Should I go to the doctor or is this normal ? ( also I was using past tense to explain the situation but I’m still bleeding and I was supposed to be finished a day ago)
