Fingering and Blood ???

This is my first post on here and Im not gonna lie Im kinda nervous to make it. Today I was making out with my boyfriend and we started to take things farther. Im am by no means a virgin. We have had sex plenty of times and he has fingered my plenty of times. Today he was being a little rougher while fingering me but wasn't hurting me at all. When he pulled his fingers out there was blood all over his hand. It really freaked me out. It was a lot of blood not just a little spotting.. has this happened to anyone?? Or could something possibly be wrong??
