Today you are one

That day has come, now you are one! Little girl you inspire me, you are the reason I was born. You are my love, my heart walking around outside my body. I have watched you grow and you are amazing. Never let anything hold you back and always know that wherever I am you have a home to return to. Be who you are and never apologize. Love yourself as I love you because you are wonderful. Be strong, be brave but remember that when you're not I will be here, to help you up, to cheer you on and I'll try not to ever let you down. I thought today I would be sad, and I am, just a little. Mostly I am proud. Proud to be your mom, proud of your accomplishments, proud of your every moment. I am so thankful to have witnessed your life so far and I am excited to see where you go.
