Help!!!newborn:nipple confusion😭😭

I have a three day old. he was nursing so well in the hospital. the last two days in the hospital they had given him the pacifier when returning from vital check ups. he was feeding fine even with the pacifier, until today where his last three feeds have been so hard for him to latch on. almost impossible. he has latched though it just takes a while. PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS REVERSIBLE. I feel so bad having to hold my crying baby for +20 minutes trying him to get the nipple.
