Starting to freak out
Okay so I am a paranoid mom in general about certain things. But I'm starting to really freak out that he's autistic.
While he does interact with us in many different ways, and he's met all his other milestones, he won't wave or clap his hands. He does mimic us in other ways. Like making funny noises. But he won't wave or clap. I thought maybe it's bc I don't do it enough with him so I've stepped it up a notch and he's still not doing it.
He laughs, plays, reacts to us and our emotions, uses his hands fine, walks, babbles (says mama and dada a lot but I still can't guarantee he knows it's us or if he's just babbling). He only sometimes points at stuff. But he plays with us by bringing us toys. He knows what "can I have that?" And "come here!" Means.
Should I ask for early intervention at this point? Or wait it out. He turned one on august 26
