Maternity leave
Let me start off first by saying im only 14 weeks pregnant. My job, its kind of dangerous, not in a way youd expect though. I work at a dog kennel, and im on my feet probably 9 hours out of my11 hour shift. My boss was the second person i told that i was pregnant, we also take care of cats. So, yeah. I dont have to do cats anymore:) but she told me that after 30 weeks itll be dangerous for me to continue my work, not because of being on my feet, but because we do have strong dogs that we take care of and i get knocked around quite a bit (im only 4'11, 96lbs pre preg)
So basically i only have 86 more work days before i cant work here anymore, and ill have to go on leave. Not paid, of course, and im curious as to who on here went on leave but worked anyway? Like for a different company, or online even?
Im sort of considered low income 😞 due to the fact that i dont get paid very much, and right now my boyfriend just got hired at a casino. He lost his previous job when i was 6 weeks and its been a total strain on both me physically and emotionally.
Do you think there is any way i could still work up until my baby is actually born? Im "due" march of 18. I say that because well who knows when this baby will come. I was two weeks early and so was daddy. Is there anything i could do online to rake in extra income? Or maybe somewhere that would hire a very pregnant lady who has to stand on her tippy toes to reach the counter?
I know some places cant deny you due to pregnancy, but seriously what are my chances >.< i simply cannot afford to be out of work my last 10 weeks of pregnancy, mainly because ive been working for 5 years and id die of boredom, and because well, bills.
Any suggestions? I dont mind working on my feet, but who knows what 30 weeks pregnant me would say. Tia
