My brother in law who has fried his brains on past drug use is impulsive and unpredictable. I don't like seeing him, but have to at family events. Today he held my four month old and kissed him on the mouth. No one except my husband and I are allowed to do this in our books. I suck at confrontation and I know my husband's brother will act irate about it if I say anything. Also, he did it in front of the whole family, and I didn't feel comfortable telling him not to do that in front of everyone. I'm mad at myself for not just standing my ground right then and there. Any additional tips on how to be an assertive parent would be appreciated. Please don't give me a hard time as I'm already beating myself up.
