Cancer baby

I need advice or whatever you have to offer. My dads cancer is back and it's pretty bad. The statistics aren't comforting at all either... only 30% respond to chemo and when that happens it doesn't get rid of the cancer it only helps to extend the patients life for maybe a few years. There is no cure. My husband and I got married in April and we have always discussed wanting children young and all that. We were talking about it recently questioning if we should start trying or wait longer. I guess what I'm asking is, would it be wrong for us to start trying for a baby now? Because I want my dad to be able to have grandchildren
