So tonight my husband and I decided to tell our parents, my sister in law and her husband that we are expecting a little girl. My mother in law says "I like boys but girls are okay too." My father in law then tells my sister in law you need to have one soon so the kids can play and I overhear my mother in law say " no then she will get the boy" so this is clearly about my daughter not carrying on the family name and if my sister in law has a boy that will be her husbands name and not theirs. I really don't know how to feel right now and if I will get over what she said, when she is around my daughter I will know how she really feels.
