Who pays?

Who pays what in your house? Do you split the bills? Share all living costs? In my case since day one it was agreed I'd pay the gas bill, half of the cable/ internet and food costs. He'd pay "rent" (mind you we live in his dads house) electric and water.... after any argument, he "pays for everything" what the hell???

Married or just dating? In my opinion it's ridiculous to keep finances separate as a married couple. It shouldn't be about who pays for what or who makes more, you work together to make your collective income.

My husband earns over 10x more than I do, so he s always paid a vast majority of the bills.
Last September, with my husbands support and encouragement, I quit my job so that I could spend more time on myself, our son and my home. It was the best thing I could have done. Last month, my old boss called to ask if I'd come back. I decided to go back to work, at the same pay, but with less responsibility and fewer hours. It's been great!
My paycheck goes towards incidentals, clothing and "luxury" items. I feel really fortunate to be able to work part time and be a full time SAHM mom too!

My husband is the only one working so he pays for everything. He's an old fashioned guy and even while dating he wanted to pay everything. I would still split food costs and other bills when he ran short (he worked commission). I'm trying to get a job again and we decided my check would go towards building up our savings and getting bills paid down quicker. Sounds like you need to have a talk with him and tell him how you feel. Ask him if he thinks you need to reevaluate who's paying what. Just be open about it.

I pay for everything but only half the rent. n yes, it's a constant argument. I'm in the military, pregnant with my second, in grad school, and pay for 99% of our life...which is a couple thousand a month. I wish I had thought this through better...

He pays for all utilities, insurances, rent, and his truck. I pay for his loan, my student loan, and my car. We split monthly expenses such as groceries, gas, etc. (we do an envelope system). And then we each put a percentage of what's left into various savings accounts. The rest is ours for whatever we'd like.

Technically we call everything our money... but I pay for everything we buy at stores, I pay for our daughters school, I pay for gas in the car, car payment, daughters dance class, and a portion of rent. He transfers me money and I make up the difference. He is BAD with money. We used to do one account but he wouldn't think about where stuff is going and blow money we didn't have to blow. So basically he pays cell phone, utilities most of the time, and most of rent. I cover everything else and I only work 12 hours a week 😂.

He earns all the money, but I take care of paying the bills, cleaning the house, and cooking. My husband loves working and hates doing bills so it works out. Lol.

My boyfriend pays rent and all utilities and now the truck we share but it's in my name. He made a ridiculous amount more than I did and recently I quit my job. We both agreed that it was going nowhere and my boss was a creep(asking where I'm going to deliver my daughter, for ultrasound photos, asking me to dinner etc.) when I was working I'd pay for the truck payment and groceries. We do just fine off his income and he's happy I am home and not stressed out everyday. It works for us.

We are married so we combine all of our finances and all bills come out of a shared account. We meet together  monthly to set up our budget for the month ahead and then weekly to go over our budget and make sure we are still on track. We both get a say with what our money is spent on and we work on our financial goals together as a couple. It works very well for us because we always do better as a team.
