Would you consider this abuse? :/

I was in a very toxic relationship back in March all the way until June. In March, he was perfect. Took me to Olive Garden for dinner, asked my parents if he could date me (which was a little odd tbh but he wanted their approval of him), brought me food when I was on my period or wasn't feeling well, etc. Well, one week back in April I had messaged my ex asking him what the address was so I can mail his class ring back and also his sweatshirt. I went to the bathroom, come back to my room, and I was pinned to my bed with his hand around my neck. He told me "Not to fuck with him." and that I'm nothing but a slut and a snake for even messaging him in the first place.

He didn't tighten his grip the first time it happened but it also happened a second time when I was sleeping, he took my thumb and my phone and put my thumbprint in just so he could snoop in my stuff while I was asleep. He grabbed me again and this time I had to tell him to loosen his hand because he was hurting me. He replied with "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."

He also led me on after we broke up, making me feel like he really did love me, and then would turn around and say "I never led you on, I told you what I wanted when we hooked up." I say "You said you love me though." He says "Sure I do."

Idk... was this considered abuse?? I really have no clue what the hell to even call this "relationship"
