Dilated?

Im ftm and I don't know how pregnancy things works 🙄 I have my 30 weeks appointment on Thursday, will she check my cervix? What happend if im dilated/effaced? Im scared I have 10 weeks left and have no clue how it will go or if Im at risk of complications. I just want a healthy baby

You're way to early to be checked. Doctors don't usually start cervix checks until 36 weeks and actually don't doctors don't even do them at all unless you're having problems. Cervix checks aren't actually necessary (unless there an issue going on) it's more for curiosity because us woman get eager to meet our LOs and we want to know if we've started getting anywhere yet. The thing is too if you for some reason were checked and say you were 1 cm...that really doesn't tell you much. You could be dilated to a 1 for weeks. No reason to worry girl. Enjoy the remainder of your pregnancy!

My doctor checked mine today but only because I was having a lot of consistent Braxton hicks at work. I'm 30weeks 3 days. It wasn't that bad. Just uncomfortable

Doctors don't usually check until 36 weeks. And as a ftm with a low risk pregnancy, you probably won't be dilated for a long time. Usually ftm go past their due date.
