Has anyone had their gender scans at 16 weeks?

I have an appointment on the 26th of this month, which will put me at 15 weeks and 5 days with our twins 😊 I'm going to ask the doctor to just take a peek and see if we can tell what the genders are but I was wondering on the accuracy of others'. My husband and I are very excited to find out what our babies are ♥️♥️ pictures are appreciated!

I wouls be leery of whatever they tell you that early.  I know 3 people personally who were told the wrong thing when they got an early scan.  One was my sis in law who didnt find out she was actually having a boy until he was born!! 😱. The other two found out later in their pregnancies that it was wrong and still a mindfuck for them!

I got one an elective one at 16 weeks as my doctor wouldn't do one until 20 weeks

At my 12 week scan (I was 12 weeks 5 days) they gave me a guess and they were correct. They said his parts looked more swollen than girl parts, but the doctor said not to run out buying baby clothes yet because they're often wrong that early. She did, however, say that she was 90% sure it was a boy, and that boys are usually harder to mistake. At 15 weeks you should get a pretty accurate idea, but there is still a chance they could be wrong so I wouldn't do a gender reveal or buy any clothes until the gender is confirmed at your anatomy scan, or by a blood test.

Found out with my son at 15 weeks and with my daughter at 14 weeks 5 days!

I would call before and ask about an ultrasound!! I found out im having a little girl at 16 weeks!!!

I was 14 weeks during my NT scan, it was accurate

I don't have the pics on my phone, but we had an elective gender ultrasound done at 16w1d, and saw her little girl parts clear as day 🙂 Hope you get to find out, it's such an exciting moment!!

I found out my son was a boy at 16 weeks and that my daughter was a girl at 15 weeks :) both were right!

If you're not scheduled for an ultrasound or they don't have handheld ultrasound machines, they're not going to scan you just to check on gender. I did get scanned at 15w2d and they were able to determine gender though.
