Life with a newborn
My baby is 7 weeks now and this is how it's been since day one.
I listened to others and read about life with a new born, I was preparing myself for the struggles, the complicated breast feeding, the restless nights, and the crying... I didn't get any of that.
I always see people posting about "why didn't anyone tell me about how bad this hurt and how awful this is." But why didn't anyone tell me about how it can also be a dream?
Breast feeding my baby is a dream, it's one of the best things. Being able to feed my little baby from my body, the cuddles while feeding her are my favorite.
My little lady baby loves her sleep at night, she'll do a big feed before going to bed at sleep for 4+ hours (momma gets up and changes her diaper if longer and gives her another feed)
Sure sometimes she does cry because she's tired and is fighting the sleep but it's almost always because she's hungry which can be fixed in seconds or needs a new diaper which is also an easy fix.
I think it's important to listen to others about what having a newborn is like, but also listen to different ones. Don't always listen to the ones that say "life is hell, but it's worth it!" Or "You'll never sleep again!" My favorite was "You're nipples are going to crack and bleed and it'll feel like torture to breastfeed your little one but you'll do it anyways because you love them." Everyone is different and you won't know how it'll be till you're living it. My life didn't change drastically, I have the love of my freaking life now ❤ but continue with my normal life so it's our normal life. No one tells you how perfect your life will be ❤
