Hot bath?

I know this is probably a dumb question, but is it okay for me to take a bath? Im 5 days pp and had a second degree tear so i had to get stitches. My bleeding has gone down and i really just want to relax in a hot bath but im afraid it might mess up my stitches

My dr recommended that I do sitz bathes. I made sure the tub was clean first and used plain epsom salt to soak in and it actually helped me and made me feel a lot better

Go for it. I would clean out the bath well first and add some lavender oil to help prevent any bacterial issues, and dry off down there we'll but you should be fine. It might even help speed up your healing (:

I did!  It helped a lot! And I had 2nd degree and some tears on the inside, and it helped. It's really no different than a sitz bath.
